With swimsuit season upon us, who doesn’t want chiseled muscles? That enviable toned look can be yours with a little help truSculpt® Flex, the latest in laser body contouring that sculpts tightens, and tones your muscles.

At Woodlands Wellness and Cosmetic Center, our team of specialists has helped countless patients achieve the swimsuit physique they’ve always longed for with this FDA-cleared, breakthrough treatment. Read on to learn how.

How does truSculpt® Flex work?

truSculpt Flex is an electrical muscle stimulation (EMS) treatment that causes your muscles to contract, much like they would during a workout. Muscle contractions are the heart of fitness progress: The more pressure your muscles can successfully contract under, the stronger you become. Likewise, the longer your muscles can sustain contractions, the more endurance you gain.

truSculpt Flex utilizes a technology called Multi-Directional Stimulation (MDS), which replicates the types of contractions your muscles undergo during different types of movement.

There’s Prep mode, which mimics the gentle twisting and stretching motions you perform during a warmup. Tone mode mimics weight training and stimulates your muscles to the point of fatigue. Sculpt mode mimics hypertrophy (muscle mass-building) training and involves quick, repetitive contractions.

What body parts does truSculpt Flex treat?

TruSculpt Flex is FDA-cleared for use on:

  • Abdominal muscles
  • Buttocks
  • Thighs

truSculpt Flex vs. other body contouring treatments

Unlike truSculpt 3D or truSculpt iD, which both focus on destroying fat cells, truSculpt Flex focuses on actually building muscle cells, thereby enhancing your muscle tone and definition. The muscle contractions induced by truSculpt Flex are more intense than the contractions some people experience during exercise, leading to quicker results.

Who should get truSculpt Flex?

Anyone who has goals to develop a more toned body can benefit from truSculpt Flex, but it’s important to note that truSculpt Flex is not a weight loss procedure. Electrical muscle stimulation works best for people who already maintain a healthy weight and need help building muscle in certain areas, particularly areas that are resistant to exercise.

The team at Woodlands Wellness and Cosmetic Center can help you decide whether truSculpt Flex is the right body contouring treatment for you, based on your medical history, current health status, goals, and more.
